# 9

I have looked at technorati, and many of the other sites listed, and i find that all of this searching takes so much TIME. I find it all very interesting and rather overwhelming- information overload.
I created some folders to organize the various sites-
college apps folder-which has blogs as well as websites- I have a senior this year- and I also signed up for some music education blogs.
I seem to prefer searching in google reader the best because it seems easiest for me.
I like the aspect of having the various newsfeeds located together as well
Once again it is rather overwhelming...

Thing # 8

I set up Google Reader and many news on line as well as some district blogs.
I thing the libraries could create various reader feeds that pertained to every individual subject. It would be great as a teacher to jsut know that there was a substantial list of avaialbe sites that my students could use from these news and blog feeds.
Literally every subject coudl be enhanced with this feature- from music to foreign language, science experiments, research in real time!!
English, history, you name it.. I'm excited at the possibilities!

Thing # 7

I am amazed at all of the things that google can do. The many facets of it are incredibl- google docs will be great to use with co- workers when working on school schedules, team letters, etc.
The google apps will be great across theh district and when working on presentations like inservices.

Thing # 6

I found these mashups in web 2.0 amazing. I enjoyed exploring the td toys, and I would like to create a poster and a mosaic of my family vacations. In school it would be another fun way to show final projects or instead of the usual end of the year slide show, perhaps create a giant mosaic that showed students in their various projects/programs, etc. The possibilities are endless! Perhaps I could add something like this to my website at school. I didn't do one yet, but I wonder if the Big huge Labs has free things that you can create? I noticed that it is not supported by flickr just uses the technology.

Thing #5

I visited DC this summer and loved viewing the beautiful artwork in the library of congress. I was struck by these women of wisdom and when I found it on the flickr site I thought I'd add it as well.

Thing 2,3,4

Thing #2 The hardest thing of the 71/2 things is Play believe it or not-- not in my classroom with the kids but in my personal life. the easiest is the one about being a life long learner- I know I am and have confidence that I can learn new things. I realized that I had not posted this correctly earlier when I was supposed to. Oh well whether or not I get to the 27 things, at least Im trying!
